This week, MYP students got to participate in planting trees in the school鈥檚 newly renovated backyard. Tree planting is a great way to increase student interest in their local environment and achieve academic goals. Students become aware that they can play a role in protecting the environment through personal involvement. Ultimately, it is hoped that the experience will help them make intelligent decisions about the conservation and use of our valuable natural resources.

In case you didn't notice, our new roof cover was installed last week. This is a part of our safeguarding measures at SNA, where the entire community always strive to provide the best learning environment for our students.

Here's what Mrs. Hoang Thi Ngoc Phuong, esteemed parent of Vu Nhu Quynh (Grade 4), said about her daughter's learning experience at SNA: "I find the facilities at SNA are excellent. Every library lesson in a PYP school is a language and inquiry lesson. Underpinning the IB philosophy of educating lifelong learners and creating globally-minded students, is the recognition that language learning is fundamental, and that reading is one of the essential tools for language learning. So, an important part of the weekly library lesson at SNA is giving students the freedom to sit and read individually, or with friends.

Throughout all IB programmes, students develop approaches to learning skills and the attributes of the IB learner profile. The IB learner is positively challenged to think critically and to learn in a flexible environment crossing disciplinary, cultural and national boundaries.

The IB organization provide a continuum of education, consisting of four programmes that are united by the IB's philosophy and approaches to learning and teaching. The programmes encourage both personal and academic achievement, challenging students to excel in their studies and in their personal development.

The International Baccalaureate庐 (IB) programmes aim to do more than other curricula. Our four programmes develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who are motivated to succeed. The IB gives students distinct advantages by building their critical thinking skills, nurturing their curiosity and their ability to solve complex problems.

Associations of IB World Schools (AIBWS) are groups, formed by school practitioners of the International Baccalaureate (IB), which provide mutual support to the community of IB World Schools.
